Outback Hawaii Kai
Cam and I were fortunate enough to attend Outback Steakhouse’s tasting for their new menu. In addition to a new menu, we were able to sit in one of two private rooms. For those that have never been to an Outback, not all restaurants have private rooms. This particular location seats about 15 in each room. On to the menu!
We were all given two drinks: a Key lime coconut-rita and a blue moon beer. The key lime coconut rita tasted exactly like a key lime pie and felt like it was a drink that would not stop refilling itself. It was so good but almost like a meal by itself.
For an appetizer we tried their Crab and Avocado stack with chips and a wasabi vinaigrette. If I could drink that vinaigrette, I would!
They featured a Steak Flight and four new sauce flavors ( I highly recommend the Diablo - I die for that sauce!) on top of a crispy mashed potato patty. Two of my steaks were perfectly cooked and one was way to rare for me. Still, all three were extremely delicious.
I wish I saved room for dessert because I barely finished my cake pops. They offered a cheesecake, peanut butter chocolate and carrot cake cake pop.
I’m still surprised with the service and quality of food at this Outback. If anyone is ever in the Hawaii Kai area, I highly recommend trying their new menu! We also found out they’re doing an unlimited shrimp menu soon!
Paesano at Manoa Market Place.
We celebrated Don’s 60th birthday at Paesano, a small Italian restaurant in Manoa. With all the amazing reviews I expected a little more but it wasn’t memorable. Even their cheese cake tasted frozen and defrosted. They did have really good service so I can give them that.
Ward Wednesday Kick Off Party!
Last night launched the start of Ward Center’s Ward Wednesdays (#wardwnsdy) as a new initative to bring more business to Ward. It’s a brilliant idea thought of by Ward’s new Marketing gal, Katie with help from The Bennet Group. Yelpers of course were in attendance and we were broken up into groups of 5 and set off to taste three restaurants throughout Ward. Cam & I ended up in the Gold Team with Hideyo, Lauren and Estaban. We were treated to appetizers at Dave & Busters, delicious pasta from Bucca di Beppo and even more appetizers at Ryan’s Grill. I had an amazing time and can’t wait to try the rest of the restaurants at Ward Center!
Late post.
Went to Raw at ING Direct (which I have to say is a beautiful building). RAW is a collaboration of artists, musicians, makeup artists and designers showcasing their work at one locations. This event was held by Yelp Hawaii and ING Direct Cafe. The musicians were amazing and the Art Face Beauty ladies who did our complementary eye lashes were awesome as well. Overall, I had a great time with the ladies! Thanks Yelp, ING, RAW and everyone else that put this together!
Aids Walk Honolulu 2012
Tonight Cam & I helped make ribbons for the Aids Walk coming up on April 15th. I think between the two of us, we made a little over 150 ribbons. So for those walking, keep us in mind when you’re proudly wearing those ribbons!
Thanks Amuse Wine Bar (Inspiration), Yelp (Emi & Thomas) Ka’imi & John - for hosting/planning & Life Foundation for this event! Glad to help!
(drink pictured above - Circus Circus, $10.00, midouri sour & cotton candy)
Attend the #poshpauhana event Ala Moana earlier this evening. So many give always (Prada sunglasses, Tiffany & Co. Necklace, LeSportsacAnteprima bag, wolford, etc!)
Food was provided by Macaroni Grill (caesar salad, chicken, mushroom ravioli - I hate veggies & a slice of tiramisu which needed more coffee flavoring!) 2 drink minimum (I forgot how much I love, love Bluemoon!)
After watching practically everyone win prizes, Cassie finally won these beautiful white Prada sunglasses (which I told her to exchange - but only if she didn’t like them lol!)
I wished for the Tiffany & Co necklace but that’s cool. Anyways, at the end of the event everyone went home with an adorable LeSportsac Shop a Le’a beach bag (you can get yours with $300 worth of receipts from Ala Moana from March 19-25th!) and mines came with an awesome $100.00 GC to Ala Moana!
I was gonna see if Cam wanted anything before I used it! It’s only fair. He probably would have won something if he went :)
Oh and dude up top! That’s Wally Famous of Famous Amos cookies! Seriously tho, where’s the cookies? Lol We also saw the face of Maui Divers who is gorgeous and an actual employee! Wish I could have won a necklace as well :(
2.5 hrs wells spent!

We were lucky enough to hang out with Kramer (star of Ghost Hunters) at the Yelp! Flying High Halloween party which was held at the Pacific Aviation Museum. He didn’t wanna partake in the fun so we snuck in a quick photo.
